Why to apply a ceramic coating to my car?

  

When talking about protection to your car, the market offers different options: waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings. Every option had a durability on how long it will protect. Waxes and sealants could last between 8 to 12 months depends on the product, maintenance conditions, driving usage and if the car stays on the garage or stays outside overnight.


Most of the basic ceramic coatings has a durability between 2-3 years. High end coatings have a durability between 5 to 10 years depending of the paint conditions. The durability of the coating also is affected due to the maintenance conditions. On poor maintenance, the ceramic coating could last between 1 - 1.5 years. For those who provide a proper maintenance to their car, could have a ceramic coating life between 2 – 2.5 years.


Take in consideration that before applying a ceramic coating, you should have done a paint correction. The correction should leave the car paint as perfect as possible.  Remember that the ceramic coating would be sealing any paint marks and swirls left on the paint.
